Cann Sets Personal Best At Duke Invitational
Shayla Cann — a Bermudian athlete who competes for the the Elon University women’s track & field team — continued her outdoor season at the Duke Invitational, competing alongside her teammates against a strong field of athletes from regional and national programs at Morris Williams Stadium.
The Duke Invitational saw several Elon athletes achieve personal bests and record top-10 program marks, indicating continued progress across various event groups in preparation for the latter part of the season.
Competing in the women’s 800 meters, Cann clocked a personal-best time of 2 minutes and 9.99 seconds, finishing 15th overall in the event.
