Cricket: Clay Smith Appointed U19 Head Coach
The Bermuda Cricket Board [BCB] has appointed Clay Smith as the Under-19 Boys National Team Coach, with a contract lasting until September 2027, alongside assistant coach Reggie Tucker Jr.
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Cricket Board [BCB] is pleased to announce that Mr. Clay Smith has been appointed as the Under-19 Boys National Team Coach. Coach Smith has been contracted until September 2027, along with his assistant coach, Mr. Reggie Tucker Jr.”
Coach Clay Smith stated, “It is indeed an honour to be given this opportunity to coach the U19 national team. Reggie Tucker and I are looking forward to this challenge, as it is a talented group of cricketers who are keen to learn and improve. We will do everything in our power to prepare the players in the hope of giving them every opportunity for success.”
The spokesperson said, “The BCB will hold open trials and a meet and greet with Coaches Smith and Tucker on Monday, April 14th from 6- 8 pm and Wednesday, April 16th from 6 – 8 pm at the National Sports Centre [NSC] North Field – BCB Axis Training Centre. The trials for young men ages 15 – 17.”
