BEDC To Host Lunch & Learn On May 13
The BEDC will host a Lunch & Learn on May 13 to help business owners improve cashflow schedules and prepare for financing opportunities.
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Economic Development Corporation [BEDC] will host a Lunch & Learn on Tuesday, May 13th, focused on helping business owners prepare for financing opportunities with both traditional banks and the BEDC itself.
“The session, taking place from 12:15 pm to 1:30 pm at BEDC’s Training Room at Sofia House, will offer a walk-through of the ten main areas that impact the strength of a Cashflow Schedule. These areas are key when it comes to submitting a complete and compelling funding application. The event is designed to provide clear, actionable guidance for business owners looking to better understand how financial documents inform funding decisions.”
“Access to funding continues to be one of the most common challenges entrepreneurs face,” said Chelsea Warren, BEDC Business Development Officer. “This session is about helping entrepreneurs understand what lenders are looking for and how to present their financials in a way that builds credibility.”
The spokesperson said, “The Lunch & Learn will also explore how various financial statements are connected and how business owners can take practical steps to improve how they manage and plan their cashflow. Attendees will leave with a clearer view of what it takes to build a funding-ready business, as well as guidance on where to find ongoing support.
“Lunch and light refreshments will be provided. The cost to attend is $25, and registration is required in advance. The session is open to the public, with limited seating available.
