Cameron Basden Places 2nd In Long Jump
Cameron Basden, representing Barry University Men’s Track & Field, showcased his athleticism at the St. Thomas University Outdoor Meet in Miami, earning a silver medal in the men’s long jump event.
Basden first took to the track in the men’s 100m dash. Running in heat three, he clocked a time of 11.21 seconds, finishing third in his heat. When the overall results were tallied, Basden’s performance placed him 14th in a competitive field.
Later in the meet, Basden excelled in the men’s long jump, securing a well-deserved second place finish with a top leap of 6.86 meters, which translates to 22 feet and 6.25 inches.
