Golf: BGA’s May Monthly Medal Results
The Mid Ocean Club played host to the Bermuda Golf Association’s May Monthly Medal, with Jarryd Dillas, Tracy Burgess, and Lewis MacFarlane all claiming divisional victories in a day of competitive golf.
In the men’s 1st flight division, Jarryd Dillas showcased his consistent quality, carding an impressive even-par round of 71 to secure the win. Oliver Betschart finished just two strokes behind, taking second place after a 2-over par 73. James Godwin rounded out the top three in this division, finishing with a round of 5-over par 76.
Tracy Burgess emerged victorious in the ladies 1st flight division. Despite the challenging conditions, Burgess managed a score of 15-over par 86 to claim the win. Katyna Rabain finished in second place after her round of 21-over par 92, while Morgan Lightbourne took third spot with a score of 24-over par 95.
The men’s second flight saw a closely contested battle. Lewis MacFarlane ultimately claimed the win, carding an 18-over par 89. Lamont Marshall, known as one of the island’s top runners, and Christopher James both finished with rounds of 20-over par 91, sharing second place in this division.
