Kiwon Waldron Wins Trot Class Race
Bermudian harness pony racing driver Kiwon Waldron competed in eight harness races at Harrah’s Hoosier Park, securing one victory during a busy night of competition.
Waldron participated in both pace and trot classes. His evening began in race 1, a pace event, where he drove Six Sticks Of Gum to a sixth-place finish with a time of 1 minute, 54.4 seconds [1:54.4].
In race 2, a trot class race, Waldron partnered Rock Party, also finishing sixth in 1 minute, 57.1 seconds [1:57.1]. Race 3, a pace event, saw Waldron guide Midnite’s Pro to another sixth-place finish, clocking 1 minute, 55.1 seconds [1:55.1].
Waldron and Bull Market finished ninth in race 4, a pace event with a larger field, in 1 minute, 55.4 seconds [1:55.4].
He then secured a fifth-place finish in race 8, a pace class race, driving Firing Onall Fours to a time of 1 minute, 54.0 seconds [1:54.0].
Waldron’s win came in race 9, a trot class event, where he guided Wiggy Hill to victory. The pair took the lead in the final 100 meters, finishing with a winning time of 1 minute, 57.3 seconds [1:57.3].
Immediately following his win, Waldron returned to the track for race 10, a trot class race. He drove Great Flick to a fifth-place finish in 1 minute, 57.4 seconds [1:57.4].
Waldron’s final drive of the night was in race 13, the card’s last race, a pace event. He finished seventh aboard Youda Shark with a time of 1 minute, 55.1 seconds [1:55.1].
