Sailing: Ted Murphy Wins Race Week Regatta
Canada’s Ted Murphy claimed the overall championship at the Bermuda International Invitational Race Week Regatta.
Murphy, competing in the International One-Design [IOD] Series, concluded the ten-race series with a net score of 19 points. His final day performances included a second and a third-place finish.
Bermuda’s Bill McNiven finished in second place overall with 21 net points. After a sixth-place finish in the penultimate race, McNiven won the final race.
American Courtenay Jenkins secured third place in the overall standings with a net score of 28 points.
Murphy also won the B Series with a net score of 8 points. Bermuda’s Colin James, sailing with Ray DeSilva, finished second in the B Series with 9 net points. McNiven placed third in the B Series with 12 net points.
