UN Resident Coordinator To Visit To Bermuda
Mr. Dennis Zulu — the UN Resident Coordinator for Bermuda, Jamaica, the Bahamas, and the Turks and Caicos Islands — will visit Bermuda.
A Government spokesperson said, “Over the course of next week [June 1 – 5], there will be a special visit by the United Nations Resident Coordinator for Bermuda, Jamaica, the Bahamas, and the Turks and Caicos Islands, Mr. Dennis Zulu.
“His inaugural visit marks a significant diplomatic engagement as the representative of UN Secretary-General António Guterres. The visit is an opportunity for Mr. Zulu to discuss opportunities for strengthened partnerships and other areas of collaboration.
“While the United Nations Resident Coordinator is on island, he is expected to meet with the Premier, the Hon. David Burt, the Minister of Home Affairs, the Hon. Alexa Lightbourne, the Minister of Youth, Social Development and Seniors, the Hon. Tinee Furbert, the Minister of National Security, the Hon. Michael Weeks, the Minister of Education, Sen. Crystal Caesar and others.
“The UN representative arrives in Bermuda tomorrow and will be on island through June 5.”
