Governor Visits Dame Marjorie Bean Academy

Governor Andrew Murdoch visited Dame Marjorie Bean Hope Academy, where he met with pupils, staff, and representatives from the Department of Education during a school tour.

Government House posted the photos online below, and said, “An incredible visit to the Dame Majorie Bean Hope Academy. The Governor met pupils, staff and members of the Department of Education during a tour of the school.

“The energy, passion, patience, expertise and sense of collective dedication shone through from all the amazing staff. The children and young people in their care were wonderful; smiles, laughter and excitement, with music an important stimulus for many.

“It was humbling to learn of the work done by the staff – led by Principal Mrs. Margaret Phillips-Astwood – over many years to craft careful plans for each pupil to help them grow.

“Thank you for the opportunity to visit and learn about all the fantastic work you do.”
