Northlands Choir To Perform At Disney World

The super talented Northlands Primary School Choir is set to perform at Disney World in Florida, and they plan to “include a Bermuda song and to have a Gombey dancer on hand to give them a true Bermuda experience.”

A spokesperson said, “On June 17, the Northlands Primary School Choir is set to make history as the 1st school choir from Bermuda to perform at Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Under the leadership of their music teacher, Mr. Terry Henry, the choir has become known worldwide after a video of them singing the song ‘Bless Me’ went viral on social media platforms. A previous video of the choir also gained millions of views and earned them international attention for their ability to sing in 3-part harmony.

“Having won the Skyport choir competition for the last 2 consecutive years, in addition to the other local competitions in past years, the Northlands School choir has established a solid reputation for producing top tier performances. The choir is excited to have the opportunity to take their talents overseas for a brand-new experience.”

“We are very excited to be able to represent Bermuda at Disney World in this way. We are looking forward to giving Disney a taste of what we are able to accomplish with our young and talented primary school students. We plan to include a Bermuda song and to have a Gombey dancer on hand to give them a true Bermuda experience as a part of our performance,” said Mr. Henry.

The spokesperson said, “The performance will take place on June 17th at 1:30 pm local time. Plans are currently in the works to have this event streamed live. A huge congratulations to Northlands Primary!”
