Robert Sousa Wins BELCO E-Billing Campaign
BELCO announced that Robert Sousa is the winner of its ‘Switch. Save. Win’ e-billing campaign, awarding him a $500 BELCO gift certificate.
A spokesperson said, “Bermuda Electric Light Company Limited [BELCO] today announced Mr. Robert Sousa as the winner of the Switch. Save. Win. ebilling campaign. Mr. Sousa won a $500 BELCO gift certificate.
“The campaign to encourage customers to sign up for electronic bills began on Tuesday, April 22, in celebration of Earth Day, and ended on Friday, May 30, 2025. All paperless billing customers at the time of the draw were entered and eligible to win.
“BELCO launched the campaign as part of the Company’s long-standing commitment to sustainability and with a goal to reduce paper use. Every month approximately 9,500 bills are printed and mailed, and customers can help reduce this paper use by switching to ebilling.
“The campaign successfully encouraged additional customers to make the switch to paperless billing.
“Switching to paperless billing is easy. At any time, customers can visit a dedicated page on the BELCO website at belco.bm/belco-paperless-billing or send an email to info@belco.bm to sign up. Paper production uses a large amount of energy and water and contributes to climate change. By opting to receive ebills, customers can help save trees, energy and water and reduce carbon emissions for a more sustainable planet.”
