Bermuda Rugby Team Place 5th In Mexico
Bermuda’s under-19 men’s rugby team secured a fifth-place finish at the Rugby Americas North [RAN] XVs Tournament after defeating Trinidad & Tobago 36-7 in a commanding performance.
The Bermudian side established its authority early in the final placement match. First-half tries from Rowan Stewart, Michael Barclay, and Jahkeel Smith put Bermuda in control. Two successful conversions from Brandon Sangster resulted in a 19-0 lead at the half.
The team’s momentum continued after the break. A second try from Smith and another from Ramsey Souter extended the advantage. Sangster successfully kicked one more conversion to seal the comprehensive victory.
