Cup Match Extravaganza Event Cancelled
The annual Cup Match Extravaganza event in St. George’s has been cancelled due to inclement weather.
A spokesperson said, “The Corporation of St. George’s announces the cancellation of the annual Cup Match Extravaganza event, which was to take place this evening in the Town of St. George.
“After speaking with a meteorologist, we’ve been advised that the rain is expected to continue until around midnight tonight. With that in mind, and for the safety and comfort of everyone involved, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel the event.
“The Corporation stated to vendors that they truly appreciated all the effort and enthusiasm that went into the planning, and thanked them for their understanding.
“To the public, the Corporation advises everyone to stay safe during this inclement weather. The Corporation wishes everyone an enjoyable Cup Match holiday.”
