Squash: Junior CASA Results Day Four
Bermuda’s promising squash players continued their impressive campaign on day four of the Junior Caribbean Area Squash Association [CASA] Championships in the Cayman Islands.
In the boys’ doubles, Andrew Cox and Ethan Rosorea secured a 11-7, 11-7 victory over Bajan’s Ben Shepherd and Dominic Wilson in the first round.
They were defeated in the semi-finals 11-4, 11-6 by British Virgin Islands’ Daniel Henderson and Oliver Henderson.
Meanwhile, in the girls’ doubles, Bermudian pair Tyler Komposch and Gabrielle Turchiaro defeated Cayman Islands’ Sienna Scarpa and Kaylee Pierre 11-3, 11-1 in the opening round.
In the semi-finals, they lost to No-1 seeds Sanjana Nallapati and Mehar Trehan, of Jamaica, 11-4, 11-9.
Meanwhile, in the mixed doubles Rose Paulos and Eli Carpol were defeated by Cayman Islands’ Brodey McComb and Milanna Lamontagne 11-7, 11-4 in their opening game.
The team competition now takes centre stage.
