Junior Golfers Continue Optimist Tournament
Bermudian golfers Sienna Mosquera, Oliver Betschart, and Dylan Muso continued competing at the International Optimist Junior Golf Tournament in Miami.
Betschart moved into a tie for the lead in the boys 16–18 division with a second-round score of 1-under 71. His round included two birdies, fifteen pars, and one bogey, bringing his two-day total to 2-under par and placing him in a three-way tie at the top of the leaderboard.
Also competing in the same division, Dylan Muso shot a 7-over-par 79. His round featured two birdies and twelve pars, along with four bogies, a double bogey, and a triple bogey. With a two-round total of 15-over par, Muso did not make the cut for the main event and will now participate in the ‘Clash of the Challengers’.
In the girls 15–18 division, Sienna Mosquera recorded a second-round 3-over-par 75 on the Optimist Red Tiger Course, improving on her opening round. Her performance included three birdies, ten pars, four bogies, and one double bogey, placing her in a tie for 18th at 12-over par overall.
