Kaden Hopkins Wins Time Trial In Guadeloupe
Bermudian cyclist Kaden Hopkins won the individual time trial stage of the Tour de Marie-Galante in Guadeloupe.
Hopkins completed the 12.6-kilometer course from Grand-Bourg to Morne des Pères in 18 minutes and 43 seconds.
He finished ahead of yellow jersey holder Benjamin Le Ny of Team CAMA CCD, who posted a time of 19:19. Damien Urcel of Team Madras Capesterre Belle-Eau was third in 19:26.
The victory for Hopkins came hours after he secured a second-place finish in the day’s earlier road race.
In that 110.1-kilometer leg, Kevin Le Cunff [TMCBE] finished just ahead of Hopkins [USL] in a sprint to the line. Ronald Géran [CCD] finished third.
