Route 5 Buses Detour Due To Bridge Repairs
The Department of Public Transportation [DPT] advised that Route 5 buses are “currently unable to cross the Glebe Road Bridge due to restrictions associated with ongoing repair works.”
A Government spokesperson said, “As a result, a temporary detour is in effect. Route 5 buses will follow their normal path to Parson’s Road, then divert left onto Frog Lane, left onto Palmetto Road, left onto Cedar Avenue, and right onto Victoria Street, ending at the Central Terminal.
“This detour remains in place until August 1st, 2025, or until lifted by the Ministry of Public Works.
“DPT appreciates the public’s understanding and cooperation during this time and apologizes for any inconvenience caused.”
