Tennis: Bermuda U-12 Girls Defeat Puerto Rico
Bermuda’s under-12 girls’ tennis team opened their campaign at the 2025 ITF/COTECC Sub Region 3 tournament with a dominant 3-0 win over Puerto Rico.
The team, led by captain Steve Bean and comprising players Chloe McBrearty, Lee Terciera, and Arianna Parra Delgado, delivered a strong showing in all three matches.
Terciera gave Bermuda an early advantage with a straight-sets win in the no. 1 singles match, defeating Milena Ramirez 6-1, 6-2. McBrearty followed with a commanding 6-1, 6-1 victory over Valentina Gomez in the no. 2 singles match to extend the lead to 2-0.
In the doubles match, Terciera teamed up with Parra Delgado to seal the sweep, overcoming Gomez and Adriana Sanabria 6-3, 6-2.
The Bermuda team is competing in the regional tournament as part of the International Tennis Federation’s development circuit for Caribbean and Central American nations.
