Video: Nicholas Lopes Wins Twice In Kentucky
Bermudian showjumper Nicholas Lopes claimed a pair of wins at the Kentucky Summer Horse Show in Lexington.
Competing in the 1.45m Jr/Am Classic II, held in the Rolex Stadium yesterday [August 2], Lopes, riding Aquiles Del Caribe Z, clocked a flawless round in 73.72sec to advance to the jump-off.
In the final round, Lopes completing another clear round with an impressive time of 33.01 to claim the victory.
Lopes, who earned the Champion for the Week title, also competed with his other horse, G-Star, in the same class, finishing sixth in 73.38 with four penalty faults.
On Thursday, Lopes also won the 1.40m Jr/Am class with a flawless round in a time of 75.73.
He also came fourth in the same class riding G-Star in 75.97 with four penalty faults.
