BCB Thanks Summer Intern Taquira Simmons
The Bermuda Cricket Board thanked Taquira Simmons for her 2025 summer internship contributions.
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Cricket Board would like to thank Ms. Taquira Simmons for her service as one of our 2025 Summer Interns. Throughout her 10-week internship, supported in partnership with the Department of Workforce Development, Taquira made a valuable impact on the BCB.
“As a third-year Business and Marketing student studying in the UK, Taquira is pursuing a career in Sports Marketing and Media. She joined the BCB as a Marketing Intern, where she was responsible for creating engaging marketing content to promote the BCB, Bermuda’s international teams, and various local initiatives.
“Since joining the BCB, Taquira has worked closely with BCB staff and external partners, gaining practical insight into Bermuda’s sports industry. Under the guidance of BCB Executive Director Mr. Calvin Blankendal, she has contributed to several community engagement campaigns and grassroots programs within Bermuda’s school system.
“Taquira shared that the most rewarding part of her internship has been seeing the impact of her work, as well as meeting and networking with individuals who are key figures in sustaining and growing Bermuda cricket. She values the hands-on experience gained at the BCB and is eager to continue learning and applying her skills in a real-world setting.
“By the end of her internship, Taquira hoped to deepen her understanding of the marketing and media strategies behind a successful sports organization. Her time at the BCB has allowed her to do this by providing her with the tools and experience needed to launch a successful career in Sports Media and Marketing. The BCB wishes her the best of luck as she continues her journey.”
