Once again, the economic miracle that is Bermuda has outperformed the U.K., the U.S. and Canada.

March 2025 retail price inflation was 5.1% in the U.K., 2.4% in the U.S. and 2.8% in Canada.

And even though we import all of our consumer goods, our reported retail price inflation of only 1.9% is lower that those countries from which we import the majority of our goods!

This is why we see so many foreign people coming here to shop for meats, alcohol, cars, clothing, school supplies… then hauling it all back to the US/UK/Canada in their luggage.

We really need to push “retail tourism”. Let’s get some billboards up in the US/UK and Canada!
