Ministry Issues Two Road Traffic Notices

The Ministry of Public Works and Environment has issued two road traffic notices for Pitts Bay Road in Pembroke and North Shore Road in Hamilton Parish to accommodate roadworks scheduled for August.

Pitts Bay Road

A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Public Works and Environment advises the motoring public that Pitts Bay Road, Pembroke Parish, will be closed to traffic to accommodate test hole work.

“This closure will be effective from Monday, 11 August, through Tuesday, 12 August 2025, with working hours from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Traffic will be managed by Invisible Trenching Ltd. representatives using barricades, signs, cones, and traffic lights.

“Motorists are advised to use detour routes via Woodbourne Avenue and Rosemount Avenue and exercise caution when travelling.

North Shore Road

“The Ministry of Public Works and Environment advises the motoring public of sequential lane closures along North Shore Road, Hamilton Parish, extending into Flatts Village, to accommodate milling and paving works.

“These works will run from Monday, 11 August, through Friday, 29 August 2025, with daily working hours from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Ministry representatives will direct traffic using barricades, stop-and-go signs, and cones.

“Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area by using Harrington Sound Road or Middle Road in Smith’s Parish, and those who must travel along this route should expect delays and proceed with care.”
