Phillips & Hallett Win Silver At English Open
Bermudian pickleball player Imani Phillips and her partner, Lily Hallett, have won the silver medal in the Women’s Doubles 4.0 division at the 2025 English Open.
Competing at the Telford International Centre, the pair fell 15-10 in a hard-fought gold medal match against Megan Bignell and Katy Taylor.
Phillips and Hallett earned their spot in the final by defeating Emma and Helen Monson 11-8 in the semi-finals. They previously won their quarter-final match 11-6 against Morgan Schrader and Danielle Frazer.
To reach the knockout rounds, the duo advanced from their group with four wins. Their victories came against Alison Shenton and Alice Lamb with a score of 11-9, Nimeesha Ashok and Ruiqing Hu 11-1, Angelina Sanderson Bellamy and Sophie Burton 11-7, and an 11-0 win over Christina and Sarah-Anne Barham.
