Weather on the South Shore was impacted as Hurricane Erin passed hundreds of miles off Bermuda, bringing wind and waves to the island.
The passing storm also led to power outages, with BELCO reporting that — as of earlier this morning — the majority of affected customers are in Hamilton Parish with 237 outages, followed by Devonshire with 37, St. George’s with 11, Paget with 7, Warwick with 4, and Pembroke with 1, while Sandys, Smith’s, and Southampton have no reported outages as of 8.53am this morning [Aug 22].
