Khano Smith’s Rhode Island Defeated In Cup
Khano Smith’s Rhode Island bowed out of the Jägermeister Cup semi-finals yesterday [September 10] after losing 3-0 on penalties to Sacramento Republic.
The match ended 0-0 after regulation time.
A former Bermuda national team captain, Smith made history in his first year as a head coach last term, leading Rhode Island to the Eastern Conference final in their inaugural season.
Rhode Island face Indy Eleven in the USL Championship on Saturday.
