A doubleheader at BAA Field featured two close matches in the Dudley Eve Group A tournament, both decided by a single goal, as the Boulevard Blazers and Dandy Town Hornets both secured victories.
Boulevard Blazers 3, Paget Lions 2
The Boulevard Blazers defeated the Paget Lions 3-2. Darius Cox opened the scoring for the Blazers in the third minute with a shot from an angle, giving his team a 1-0 lead at halftime.
Paget’s Delray Rawlins tied the game in the 75th minute. Five minutes later, Jahzion Talbot-Thomas put the Blazers back in front. Cox then scored his second goal of the match in the 87th minute, extending the lead to 3-1. Kushae Hypolite scored for Paget a minute later, but they were unable to find an equalizer.
Dandy Town Hornets 1, North Village Rams 0
The Dandy Town Hornets defeated the North Village Rams 1-0.
Riley Robinson scored the only goal of the game in the fifth minute, curling a shot into the back of the net. The Hornets played with ten men after a player received his second yellow card in the 63rd minute. Despite being a man down, Dandy Town held on for the win.
