Somersfield Academy To Host Open House

Somersfield Academy invites families to its Journey of Discovery open house on Thursday, 18 September 2025 at 5:45 PM, offering an inside look at the Montessori philosophy and curriculum.

A spokesperson said, “Somersfield Academy is delighted to announce its upcoming open house event, Journey of Discovery, taking place on Thursday, 18 September 2025 at 5:45 PM.

“This special evening will give families an opportunity to explore the Montessori philosophy and curriculum, and to understand why beginning a child’s formal education at age three provides such a strong foundation for lifelong success.

“This journey through Somersfield’s Montessori programmes starts in the Children’s House [ages 3–6] and continues into Lower Primary [P2–P4]. Attendees will enjoy hands-on experiences with Montessori learning materials and have opportunities for personal conversations with our Montessori-trained teachers, gaining valuable insight into how this approach empowers children to think critically, solve problems creatively, and develop confidence.”

It encourages curiosity, resilience, and a genuine love of discovery,” said Janice Outerbridge, Head of Children’s House and Primary at Somersfield Academy. “This event will give families the chance to experience how our classrooms move children from guided exploration to independent understanding, and how these early years truly shape the learner for life.”
