Young Footballers Shine At Kickstart Cup
The Athene’s Kickstart Cup 2025 saw hundreds of young players competing at the National Sports Centre. Six champions were crowned across boys’ and girls’ divisions, with three of the finals decided by close margins.
Boys’ Division winners:
- Under 7: The Boulevard Blazers defeated the Devonshire Colts 5-0.
- Under 9: The Dandy Town Hornets beat X-Road’s Warriors Black 2-0.
- Under 11: Junior Kix Stars White won on penalty kicks after a 2-2 draw against Warwick Football Academy Ajax.
Girls’ Division winners:
- Warwick Football Academy swept all three age categories.
- Under 7: Warwick Football Academy defeated the Devonshire Colts 2-0.
- Under 9: Warwick Football Academy Napoli won on penalty kicks after a 1-1 draw against Warwick Football Academy Inter Milan.
- Under 11: Warwick Football Academy Manchester secured a 1-0 victory over the VYP Girls.
