Myeisha Sharrieff Helps Howard Finish Second
Bermudian swimmer Myeisha Sharrieff helped her Howard University women’s swimming team secure a second-place finish at the Osprey Beach Blast Invitational, hosted by the University of North Florida [UNF].
Howard University finished the multi-day competition with 970.5 points and six first-place finishes.
Sharrieff contributed to the team’s standing with her performances in both relay and individual backstroke events. In relay contributions, she swam the leadoff leg for the B team in the 200 Yard Medley Relay, which finished fourth with a time of 1:47.46. She also led off the B team in the 400 Yard Medley Relay, helping them to a sixth-place finish in 4:02.23. Sharrieff also swam the third leg for the B team in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay, which placed sixth with a time of 1:38.57.
Individually, Sharrieff competed in several backstroke events. She finished sixth overall in the 100 Yard Backstroke with a time of 58.89. In the 50 Yard Backstroke, she placed seventh with a time of 27.86. She finished 12th in the 200 Yard Backstroke with a time of 2:11.41.
