PLP To Host 60th Annual Conference
The PLP will officially open its 60th Annual General Conference on October 22 under the theme “Leading for the Next Generation.”
A spokesperson said, “The Progressive Labour Party is proud to announce the opening night of its 60th Annual General Conference, under the theme ‘Leading for the Next Generation.’ This year’s milestone conference will begin on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 7:00 PM at the Ruth Seaton James Auditorium, with a special Social Hour from 6:00 to 6:45 PM, and is open to the public.
“The Annual Delegates Conference is a cornerstone of our party’s democratic tradition, providing an opportunity for members, delegates, and supporters from across the island to come together to reflect, reconnect, and recommit to our shared vision for a fairer, more just Bermuda.
“The evening will include live entertainment, a tribute to PLP members who have passed, and the presentation of awards to long-serving party members whose contributions have helped shape the Party’s legacy. Additionally, attendees will hear from:

- “Minister of Public Works & Environment, Hon. Jache Adams, JP, MP
- “Keynote speech from Mr Aaron Chichlow of Bermuda Is Love”
PLP Chair Dawn Simmons remarked, “As we celebrate 62 years of service, struggle, and progress, this conference is not just a reflection of our past, it’s a declaration of our commitment to preparing and empowering the next generation of leaders who will continue the work of building towards a better, fairer Bermuda for all of us.”
A spokesperson added, “The conference will span several days, featuring discussions, workshops, and engagements focused on policies and strategies to meet the needs of today’s Bermuda and tomorrow’s.
