Video: Boxing Victories For Simmons And Roach
[Updated with video] Saundre “Dash” Simmons has extended his perfect record as a professional boxer to nine straight wins after stopping Mexican Francisco Rios in the third round in Mexicali, Baja California, yesterday [October 4].
From the opening bell, the Bermudian light heavyweight controlled the tempo behind a stiff, piston-like jab, repeatedly punishing Rios to the body.
By the third round, Simmons raised the intensity and floored his opponent with a sharp left hook.
Although Rios [16-16-3] beat the count, he did not last much longer, forcing the referee to halt the contest after Simmons unleashed another relentless combination.
Meanwhile, fellow Bermudian Adrian Roach [2-0] defeated Mexican Victor Emmanuel López [2-3] by unanimous decision.
