Bermuda College Launches Mural Project
Bermuda College announced a new partnership with Bermuda Walls, the island’s leading public mural arts initiative, to bring two large-scale murals to its campus.
A spokesperson said, “The project forms part of a wider commitment to enhance campus vibrancy and create spaces that celebrate creativity, learning, and Bermudian identity.
“It is hoped that the initiative will transform blank walls into bold, student-led public art.
“A campus-wide open call for submissions is now underway, inviting College students to submit original mural concepts by November 21, 2025.
“Applicants must complete a Microsoft Form that includes both imagery and concept details. An internal selection committee will review submissions and select the top five designs by November 26–28.
“These designs will then be forwarded to the Bermuda Walls/Mural Festival team for final review. Two winning murals will be selected in early December.
“From January to February, the selected student artists will work closely with the Bermuda Walls team to refine their designs and prepare for installation. The official announcement of winners will take place on Spirit Day, March 13, 2026, with mural creation beginning later that month.”

“This project is about more than murals, it’s about making space for student voices, celebrating artistic talent, and connecting art with education.”
A spokesperson added, “Bermuda Walls is known for transforming public spaces across the island with vibrant, large-scale works by local and international artists.”
Glayson Leroy, a Bermuda Walls spokesperson, said: “We are delighted that the College is taking part and encouraging its students to create some bold artwork that will help enliven the campus.
“We look forward to seeing the submissions and feel certain that we will be amazed by the creativity shown.”
