Bermudian footballer De’ari Trott has helped the Woodstock Academy Prep 2 team claim their first Global Education Sports Partners League title.
The defender came on as a substitute as his side defeated St Thomas More 5-1 in the final at the Bentley Athletic Complex in Woodstock last weekend.
“It’s been a great experience to be part of the title win,” Trott told Bernews.
“We won all six league matches to reach the semi-finals as the top-seeded team before reaching the final.”
Trott, who has represented the Bermuda Under-14 national team, joined the Woodstock Academy in Connecticut last summer to further his education on and off the pitch.
“I’ve enjoyed coming into a new culture,” he said.
“It feels like family, and it’s been great to play at a new level and test myself against talented players every week.”
The 14-year-old has previously represented FC Bascome Under-13 and Under-15 teams.
