Egan, Brangman, Burgess Win BGA Titles
Paul Egan, Roger Brangman, and Tracy Burgess won their respective divisions at the Bermuda Golf Association’s November Monthly Medal held at Belmont Hills.
Four golfers shot a one-over-par 71 in the Men’s First Flight. Paul Egan secured the top spot with a scorecard of 4 Birdies, 10 Pars, 3 Bogeys, and 1 Double Bogey. Junior golfer Arman Newton placed second on retrogression with a 6-over-par 76, finishing ahead of Johnny Bart, Daniel Holland, and Jonathan James.
In the Ladies Division, Tracy Burgess claimed victory with a 5-over-par 75. Her round included 3 Birdies, 8 Pars, 6 Bogeys, and 1 Double Bogey. Elizabeth Carpio finished second with a 10-over-par 80, followed by Carine Brule and Tracy Nash, who both shot 82.
The Men’s Senior Division featured a three-way tie at one-over-par 71. Roger Brangman took division honours on retrogression, finishing ahead of Mark Ray and Kyle Lightbourne. Brangman’s round included 6 Birdies, 8 Pars, 1 Bogey, and 3 Double Bogeys.
Net Division results saw Tracy Nash finish first for the Ladies, with Ann Mitchell taking second. Robbie Bailey won net honours in the Men’s First Flight, with Jeremie Hayward securing second place on retrogression. In the Men’s Senior Division, Ed Frey finished first by retrogression over John Whiley.
The Closest to the Pin winners were Liz Carpio [Ladies, 4th hole], Daniel Holland [Men's First Flight, 7th hole], Kyle Lightbourne [Senior Men's, 17th hole], and Darina Betschart [Open, 11th hole].
