Bowling League: Last Pins & Islanders Win
The Second Spring Senior Bowling League at Warwick Lanes saw the Drifters maintain their lead with a 4-0 victory over the Pinsplitters, while other matches produced upsets that affected the standings.
The Drifters, currently atop the league, extended their advantage as second-placed Starlites had a bye this week.
In the battle for third place, fourth-placed Last Pins defeated the Blue Angels 2½-1½, allowing Last Pins to move closer in the standings.
Meanwhile, seventh-placed Islanders beat the New Comers 3-1, giving the Islanders a lift in the lower half of the table and tightening the competition.
