People Invited To Take Part In ‘Odd Socks Day’
The Department of Health is calling on schools, businesses, and community members across the island to take part in Odd Socks Day on Friday, November 14, as part of Anti-Bullying Week 2025, observed from November 10–14 under the theme “The Power of Good.”
A Government spokesperson said, “Odd Socks Day is a symbolic event that carries a powerful message: our differences make us unique. By wearing odd socks, participants celebrate individuality and inclusion while standing together against bullying.”
“Building a healthy community starts with how we treat one another,” said Kim Wilson, Minister of Health. “When we choose kindness, empathy, and respect in our daily lives, we create an environment where everyone—especially our children—can grow, learn, and thrive free from fear or exclusion.”
A Government spokesperson added, “This year’s theme, “The Power of Good,” encourages everyone to use their influence for positive change. The Department of Health urges all participants to go beyond awareness by reflecting on how their own behaviour contributes to a culture of kindness and accountability.
“Throughout Anti-Bullying Week, schools and organisations are encouraged to:
- Identify ways individuals can personally help reduce bullying
- Speak up when they see exclusion or unkindness
- Reflect on how words and actions affect others
“By equipping young people and adults alike with the tools to understand themselves and others, Bermuda can continue to cultivate safe, supportive spaces where everyone feels valued, confident, and respected.
“To take part in Odd Socks Day, simply wear odd socks on Friday, November 14, and share a photo on social media using the hashtags #OddSocksDay and #ThePowerOfGood, tagging @DepartmentofHealthBermuda.
“The Department of Health encourages everyone to carry the spirit of Anti-Bullying Week throughout the year by promoting kindness, compassion, and mental wellness in all areas of community life.”

Obviously have no meaningful ideas. Having a day like this clearly demonstrates that they are clueless and making it up at our expense. Making it up as they go along. Next we will be asked to start The Stupid People’s Festival like they have in Los Angeles that is well attended. Oops, I let it out of the bag
Next will be hole in your underpants day i guess lol
