BCCL Students Share Kindness In Community
Bermuda Center For Creative Learning [BCCL] put their school’s Social Emotional Learning [SEL] theme for December — kindness — into practice.
The Upper Middle Years students handcrafted paper flowers and handed them out to passersbys in Victoria Park and each flower included a message written by a student.
Some of the notes said ‘Have a nice day,’ ‘Happy holidays,’ and even ‘Be the change you want to see in the world.’ The students were met with plenty of smiles from people starting their day.
A spokesperson said, “Social Emotional Learning is at the heart of all that we do here at BCCL and we are thrilled that the students have embraced this month’s theme, kindness. In a school where everyone is on their own personal educational journey, kindness to each other is everything.”
