Orange Bay Wins Christmas Window Contest
The City of Hamilton has announced the winners of its 2025 Christmas Window Decorating Contest, with Orange Bay taking the top prize for Best Christmas Window.
A spokesperson said, “The City of Hamilton today announced the winners of its 2025 Christmas Window Decorating Contest.
“Sixteen City businesses entered this year’s competition, which featured two award categories: Best Christmas Window 2025, selected by a panel of industry-relevant judges, and the People’s Choice Award, selected by members of the public through an online voting process.

“Orange Bay was named the winner of Best Christmas Window 2025. Runners-up in this category were The Island Shop and Sleeper’s Paradise.
“Orange Bay’s winning display featured a warm, family-focused Christmas scene with vintage touches, showcasing festively dressed mannequins in classic red and green attire and celebrating the spirit of family and togetherness at Christmas.
“The People’s Choice category drew nearly 1,150 votes from members of the public. The People’s Choice Award was won by The Island Shop, which received 25 per cent of the total votes.

“The Island Shop’s display highlighted local flair, incorporating Bermuda-themed merchandise alongside festive foliage and wrapped gifts. Runners-up in the People’s Choice category were DEMCO as first runner-up and SPEXX Eyecare as second runner-up.
“The competition helps build a shared festive spirit across the City, with participating storefronts collectively creating a welcoming holiday environment that attracts foot traffic, supports local businesses, and enhances the overall Christmas experience in Hamilton.”
Mayor Charles Gosling offered his congratulations at today’s prize-giving event, saying: “I want to congratulate Orange Bay on being named Best Christmas Window 2025, as well as The Island Shop for winning the People’s Choice Award. The standard across all entries was exceptionally high this year, and every participating business should be commended for the care, creativity, and effort that went into creating such magical holiday displays. I would also like to thank our judging panel for lending their time, expertise, and thoughtful consideration to the selection process.”

The spokesperson said, “This year’s judging panel, refreshed annually, included Melinda DeCosta, Kelly-Anne Smith, Nzingha Ming, and Tyrone Flood.
“The winner of Best Christmas Window 2025 will receive a $1,000 BELCO gift voucher, a $1,000 donation to a charity of their choice, a video advertisement produced by the City of Hamilton, a social media feature, and a dedicated media release.
“The People’s Choice Award winner will receive a $500 Masters gift certificate, a $500 donation to a charity of their choice, a social media feature, and a dedicated media release.
“Residents and visitors are encouraged to take a stroll through the City to view the window displays, which will remain in place for the rest of the holiday season.”
