TROIKA Bermuda Launches ASCEND Program
TROIKA Bermuda has officially launched its ASCEND Program, a new talent development and mentorship initiative designed to identify, nurture, and prepare the next generation of young performers in Bermuda.
A spokesperson said, “The ASCEND Talent Show Initiative is an exciting platform aimed at discovering and showcasing the diverse talents of young Bermudians aged 7 to 18. This dynamic program is structured into four age categories 7 to 9 years, 10 to 12 years, and 13 to 15 and 16 to 18 years, ensuring age-appropriate competition and experiences. Participants may enter various performance categories including Dance, Vocal, Drama, Spoken Word, and Musical Instrument.
“A key pillar of ASCEND is mentorship. Each performer is paired with a mentor who is an experienced artist and TROIKA alum, providing tailored guidance and support throughout the preparation process. The mentorship aspect of the program is designed to strengthen each participant’s skills, confidence, and stage readiness, making ASCEND a comprehensive and nurturing platform for emerging talent.
“Mentors for the ASCEND Program include Antione Williams, Chinyere Nwasike, Kevonte Jennings Lathan, Mionne Destiny, Olivia Hamilton, Sacha Dill, Shanna Henry, and Sion Symonds.”
“ASCEND is about creating access, building confidence, and developing well rounded performers who are prepared for future opportunities,” said Seldon Woolridge, Co founder of TROIKA Bermuda. “Through mentorship and structured development, we are helping young people build the skills, discipline, and confidence they need to grow both on and off the stage.”
“ASCEND reflects what TROIKA has always stood for, developing talent and creating meaningful opportunities for young people to be seen, supported, and celebrated,” said Shoa Wolfe, Co founder of TROIKA Bermuda. “We are excited to bring the community into this journey and to watch these young performers rise.”
A spokesperson added, “ASCEND is one of TROIKA Bermuda’s first initiatives of the 2026 season, designed to help recruit and develop new talent within Bermuda’s performing arts community. Audiences and aspiring performers are also encouraged to look out for upcoming announcements, including auditions for TROIKA’s 2026 Work in Progress #9 musical production.
