Video: Jamin Hodgkins Features In Podcast
Bermudian rugby union player Jamin Hodgkins has featured as a special guest in a podcast discussing the pressure experienced by young athletes.
The fly-half, who plays for the Pacific Pride Academy in the British Columbia Men’s Premier League, is interviewed by Dr James Alder in the Trauma, Training and Transformation podcast.
The interview explores “the unseen pressures young athletes carry, identity, performance, transition, and the mental cost of chasing opportunity across borders.”
Hodgkins, who is eligible for Canada, represented the Pride last season and has previously played for Luctonians First XV in England and Bridgend and Glamorgan Wanderers in Wales.
The former Bermuda Under-19 international and Warwick Academy student also plays for Halifax Tars, an amateur team in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
“I’m Canadian, however, I was born and raised in Bermuda,” Hodgkins said.
“My dad is from Bermuda, my mom is from Halifax, Nova Scotia.
“I lived in Bermuda until I was 13, grew up playing mini rugby there, and then moved to Canada for school.”
