BFA Names Team For Men’s U‑17 Qualifiers
The Bermuda Football Association [BFA] has announced the final team selected for the Concacaf Men’s U-17 World Cup Qualifying.
A spokesperson said, “The U17 World Cup is now a yearly tournament, which enables us to have a regular diet of competitive matches. Bermuda has been drawn in Group H along with Guyana, Suriname, and host Honduras.”
Head Coach Aaron Denkins said, “This is the second of the yearly FIFA World Cup, and we are excited to participate again after hosting our U17 Group last year. We have some players who have experience playing at this level, having participated in the CONCACAF Qualifiers last year, and are doing well overseas on their football journey.
“We are looking forward to doing well and qualifying for the World Cup, which will take place in November in Qatar.”

The spokesperson said, “The youthful Gombey Warriors will open their Concacaf U-17 Qualifying against Guyana on February 6th. Two days later, on February 8th they will play Suriname before closing out the group stage against host Honduras on February 11th.”
