Four police officers — DCI Jason Smith, DI Leroy Mathurin, DS Crai Che Hall, and DC Randy Alexander — successfully completed advanced Anti–Money Laundering [AML] examinations following specialized training in the U.K

A police spokesperson said, “Four officers, DCI Jason Smith, DI Leroy Mathurin, DS Crai Che Hall and DC Randy Alexander recently successfully completed and passed advanced examinations in Anti–Money Laundering [AML], following specialized training in the U.K. delivered by the City of London Police.

“The programme provided rigorous instruction on contemporary money laundering typologies, investigative techniques, financial intelligence, and international best practices. Successful completion of the examinations reflects the officers’ high level of competence and commitment to strengthening the BPS’s financial crime capabilities.

“This training is fully aligned with the Financial Action Task Force [FATF] Immediate Outcome 7, which focuses on ensuring that money laundering offences and activities are effectively investigated and that offenders are prosecuted and sanctioned. By enhancing specialist skills and operational readiness, the BPS continues to build the capacity required to identify, disrupt, and dismantle money laundering networks.

“The BPS reaffirms its unwavering resolve to combat money laundering and to pursue the illicit gains acquired by those benefitting from criminality. Continued investment in internationally recognised training and partnerships—such as this collaboration with the City of London Police—underscores the Service’s commitment to safeguarding the financial system and upholding the rule of law.”
