Gallagher Re Announces Appointment Of Cobon
Gallagher Re has appointed Scott Cobon as its Head of Strategic Solutions in Bermuda.
A spokesperson said, “Gallagher Re, the global reinsurance broking and advisory firm, has appointed Scott Cobon as Head of Strategic Solutions in Bermuda.
“In this role, Cobon will focus on driving growth, expanding Gallagher Re’s Bermuda platform, and enhancing its global offerings through capital structuring and investor engagement.
“Cobon will report to Head of Bermuda Ben Radford and work closely Gallagher Securities [both Capital Advisory and ILS teams].
“Already a valued member of the Gallagher family, Cobon joins from Artex, where he demonstrated his extensive knowledge of risk management, his deep structuring expertise, and a broad understanding of capital markets.
“He has held a variety of senior positions, most recently servicing as Managing Director, Insurance Management Services, and has a proven track record of client relationship management, strategic leadership, and cross-regional and divisional collaboration.
“Cobon’s appointment is part of a wider investment in the Bermuda platform following the recent appointments of Andrew Phelan as Chairman Global Credit, Surety [excluding US] and Political Risk, and the hiring of Rachel Barnes as a Senior Property Retro Broker.”
Mr. Radford said, “Scott is highly experienced and will be a real asset as we strengthen our capabilities in Bermuda. As well as facilitating interactions between Bermuda [re]insurance firms, investors, and other industry participants, Scott’s background means we will be able to foster greater collaboration with the wider Gallagher global network, including Artex.
