Betschart And Burgess Win Monthly Medal
Golfer Oliver Betschart produced a superb performance to claim the opening Monthly Medal of the year at Tucker’s Point Club at the weekend.
Betschart carded a one-under-par 69 to secure the Men’s Division title, with five birdies and ten pars.
Arman Newton finished second with a one-over-par 71, while a three-way tie for third saw Jarryd Dillas, Johnny Bart, and Roger Brangman all finish at four-over-par.
In the Ladies Division, Tracy Burgess topped the leaderboard, carding a four-over-par 74, including ten pars and three birdies.
Morgan Lightbourne claimed the runner-up spot with a round of 85, while Darina Betschart rounded out the podium.
In the Men’s Senior Division (55+), Hav Trott won, shooting a three-over-par 73.
Trott’s card featured 11 pars and two birdies. He finished just a single stroke ahead of Kyle Lightbourne and Mark Ray, who shared second place at four-over-par.
In the Junior Division, Damian Moniz triumphed after firing an 85.
Nicely done! The beginning of a new age, although Hav Trott continues to impress.
