Bermudian Author Debuts AI-Driven Thriller
Bermudian author Damon Smith has published his first book, a fictional thriller that blends artificial intelligence with corporate intrigue and legal drama.
Mr Smith said he has wanted to write a book for more than 40 years and has now realised that ambition.
He used his own name as the main character and drew on people in his life, including family and friends.
The book’s storyline centres on artificial intelligence, and Smith said its creation involved AI as well.
“I wrote 80-85 per cent of the book, and the AI tool assisted with the 15 per cent,” Mr Smith told Bernews.
Titled A.I.E.S Artificial Intelligence Evolving Species, the novel features elements of corporate espionage and courtroom drama and is available on Amazon Kindle.
One chapter is set in Bermuda and examines the future of AI on the island, including the legal potential for Bermuda to capitalise on the domiciling of AI companies.
