Results: New Year’s Day Harness Racing
Harness racing action continued in the New Year’s Day Races at the Bermuda Equestrian Centre in Devonshire yesterday [January 1].
The schedule featured 14 heat races among the respective time bars, with winners determined by the fastest on average time over the heats.
Five Powder Puff races were also held.
“It was such an amazing day and great to see so many new and returning faces at harness racing this afternoon!” read a DHPC Executive Committee statement.
“It was also very special to have ten participants in the powder puff races.”
The day closed with a prize presentation to all ponies that participated in the Boxing Day and New Year’s Races, with awards given in order of fastest combined times in each time bar.
The awards were sponsored by Easy Lift.
