North Village Rams and Devonshire Cougars emerged victorious in their respective FA Challenge Cup matches.
North Village Rams 2, Dandy Town Hornets 1
North Village Rams advanced to the next round with a 2-1 win over Dandy Town Hornets.
North Village took the lead in the 15th minute when Amir Dill scored to put the home side ahead. Dandy Town responded before halftime, with David Jones Jr equalizing in the 40th minute to leave the teams level at the break.
The second half remained scoreless as both sides pushed for a winner. With extra time looming, North Village regained the lead in the 89th minute when Jalen Harvey scored from inside the penalty area.
Devonshire Cougars 9, Island Bulls FC 0
Devonshire Cougars recorded a 9-0 victory over Island Bulls FC at the Devonshire Recreation Club, producing one of the most lopsided results of the round.
The Premier Division side established control early. Chamari Burns opened the scoring in the fourth minute with a header from a corner, and Cristian Albuoy doubled the lead in the eighth minute. Albuoy scored again in the 34th minute, and Burns added his second goal a minute later, giving the Cougars a 4-0 lead at halftime.
Burns completed his hat trick in the 47th minute shortly after the restart. Mosias Mills made it 6-0 in the 56th minute before substitutions were made. Chae Brangman, who replaced Burns, scored in the 67th minute to extend the lead to seven.
The scoring continued late, with Kydan Browne finding the net in the 74th minute. Brangman added his second goal in the 81st minute, closing out the match as Devonshire Cougars advanced to the next round.
