Outerbridge & Turner Advance At VA Indoor
Montverde Academy sprinters Miles Outerbridge and Arima Turner recorded top finishes in their respective opening rounds at the VA Indoor Showcase at the Virginia Beach Sports Center.
Outerbridge recorded the fastest overall time in the 200-meter qualifier. He won the 11th heat in 21.34 seconds to top the standings.
In the girls’ 55-meter preliminaries, Turner won Heat 7 with a time of 7.19 seconds. She advanced to the next round having recorded the second-fastest time overall in the preliminary field.
