Elan Daley Secures National Qualifying Times
Elan Daley earned a National Championship Qualifying Time as the University of Tennessee women’s swim team finished second at the SEC Swimming and Diving Championships.
Daley swam the Women’s 200-Yard Freestyle preliminaries in 1:46.80, placing 25th, just off her personal best of 1:46.46. In the Women’s 50-Yard Freestyle preliminaries, she finished 30th in 22.69, narrowly missing her personal best of 22.52.
In the Women’s 100-Yard Freestyle, Daley recorded a personal best of 48.57 in the preliminaries, placing 14th and earning a National Championship Qualifying Time. She advanced to the Consolation Final and improved her time to 48.48, finishing third in the heat and 11th overall, securing a second National Championship Qualifying Time at the meet.
