Turner, Munya & Outerbridge Compete In Florida
Bermudian athletes Arima Turner, Amaris Munya, and Miles Outerbridge represented Montverde Academy at the Legends of Alachua County Invitational held at the Alachua County Sports and Event Center in Gainesville, Florida.
Arima Turner competed as part of the Girls 4×200 Meter Relay team alongside Adriana Rodriguez, Nakira Hudson, and Dasia Reed. The quartet won the event with a time of 1:36.30, setting a new record for the facility.
In individual events, Turner placed fifth in the high school girls 200 meter dash, recording a time of 24.83 seconds. She also competed in the 60 meter dash, finishing with a time of 7.79 seconds.
Amaris Munya secured a third-place finish in the high school girls 600 meter run with a time of 1:38.94. Munya also placed 12th in the 400 meter dash in 59.23 seconds and finished 15th in the one mile run with a time of 5:37.07.
In the boys division, Miles Outerbridge finished second in the High School 200 meters. Outerbridge recorded a time of 21.36 seconds, finishing behind Brady Pineo.
